Doug,

 

This surfer patient, has she done much yoga? Yoga can exploit the latent

healing qi of a person who has already stored in the muscles and tendons a fair

amount of strength. Someone who is qi deficient (vacuous?) would have to

practice yoga/qi gong for some time to get the kind of qi density that heals,

reverses, regulates the various qi phenomena. I would have her try some

different yoga classes around (at least one hatha, one astanga, and one

kundalini) -- she might have some dramatic benefits.

 

If, on the other hand, she has already been doing a lot of yoga along with

her surfing, perhaps there is latent cold in the channels and results can be

obtained through moxa.
