The first publication on AP / Electro-AP in addiction that I know was by

Drs HL Wen & SYC Cheung, Neurosurgical Unit, Kwong Wah Hospital,

Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, Howloon, Hong Kong : Treatment of

drug addiction by acupuncture and electrical stimulating. (1973) Asian J.

of Med., 9: 138-141. http://leda.lycaeum.org/?ID=16554

Dr. Meg (Margaret) Patterson worked with Dr. Wen in HK. When she

returned to UK, she developed the method further, using ball-electrodes

on the ear, or electrodes attached to the mastoid area.

She described her methods in Patterson,M.A. (1975) " Addictions can be

cured " . The Treatment of Drug Addictions by Neuro-electric Stimulation.

Berkhamstad, Herts, UK: Lion Publications and personal communication

(1975-1980).

Meg ran a clinic in UK for addicts. Unfortunately, she died recently after

a long illness.
