30 MINUTES after?

Instead, try two procedures: 1. have the patient take

their pulse for 15 seconds before eating a suspected allergen, and then 30

minutes afterward. If the pulse is even a beat faster, sustpect allergy.

Right. I have found that if you take the pulse right afterwards, sometimes

it's perfectly normal. My suspicion would be that sometimes, with chronic,

or insidious allergies it takes that long for this unusual inflamatory

reaction to kick in, or for the body to figure out that something isn't

right.

Well, it seems like 30 minutes gives a lot of time for other factors to

influence the pulse. I suppose they should sit quietly(without reading the

newspaper) for that time(assuming they are good meditators).
