Guest guest
not an unusual reaction w/ the ultraclear, usually has to do w/ die off of systemic yeast or parasites. If it is uncomfortable for her back the dosage down. Warren Cargal > > " " > 2005/09/03 Sat AM 08:22:24 EDT > > Ultra-Clear > >
Guest guest
Yes I have heard that story before, but what in the product would be killing yeast / parasites etc..? I have a hard time believing this product is killing parasites. Parasites are hard enough to kill with western pharmaceuticals or even the western herbals like black walnut etc... Finally - If this is a common reaction then here is the question: One of the objectives of this product and program is to eliminate food sensitivities and reintroduce foods once cleared... If the patient is having worse symptoms then before starting the cleanse, how will they know what foods are causing the problems when they start re-introducing then back in on i.e. day 14... Meaning if they eat some dairy and have bloating, it tells us nothing because they are already having worse bloating... thoughts? -Jason > > > On Behalf Of > wcargal9 > Saturday, September 03, 2005 7:54 AM > > Re: Ultra-Clear > > not an unusual reaction w/ the ultraclear, usually has to do w/ die off of > systemic yeast or parasites. Guest guest
Difficult to know what might be causing the diarrhea without seeing this Pt in her all-around day. The way I understand the program, it might be better to start on the UltraClear Plus before moving on to the UC basic. It might be important for some to increase the dose of UC+ more gradually than is recommended for the standard 28-day program. But did this person have GI Sx as a major part of her presentation prior to starting the program? If so, then I would think that the UltraClear Sustain or the UltraInflamX would be more appropriate. The UC-S was designed after it was discovered that some ppl did not improve on UC, but rather worsened. It was discovered that this subset of pts had first to address leaky gut syndrome and malabsorption before doing a more focused liver clearance regime, and UC-S has been used for years now to address this. If there are substantial inflammatory issues, then UltraInflamX is appropriate(and inflammatory issues are usually significant in chronic dz). In any case, the 4R program(Remove, Restore, Reinnoculate & Repair) should be applied. All these stages (which can in practice be addressed concommitantly or consecutively) address the basic components of digestive dysfunction and helps to focus on and attend to each compromised arena. I have sometimes used Atracylodes Tablets from ITM to address colitis-type problems(eg. post-antibiotic diarrhea) as a quick and easy fix, but for chronic digestive problems, I think the 4R program is advisable and more instructive for the Pt. Hope my Meta-head is not spinning, Ann To all the Meta-Heads, I have a patient who has gone on the full 28 day ultra-clear program, and has started with the Ultra-clear Basic, and is now moving into the ultra-clear plus. (She of course has eliminated all potentially irritating foods) . All Her G.I. complaints (bloating, cramps, loose stools) have increased greatly in frequency. Does anyone know what in this product could be causing this? Thanx, -Jason
Guest guest
Jason, I don't know specifically what's in the ultra-clear program but it may be some sort of carbohydrate (di- or polysaccharide) that's causing the problem. I have experience with a few IBS and UC patients who have used a special diet and found their symptoms greatly improved. It's called the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. You can read about it on the website: breakingtheviciouscycle.info/ The idea is that complex carbohydrates promote pathogenic bacteria proliferating in the gut. The bacteria's by-products inflame the intestinal wall and erode the villi. This results in digestion being further hampered and gas and diarrhea resulting. Thus the vicious cycle. The diet 'starves' the 'bad' bacteria, and the gut flora rebalances, with the help of certain probiotics. So, the diet requires adherence to a rather strict diet, accepting only honey and fruit in the way of carbohydrate foods. Some beans are allowed . . . . There's no restriction on the amount of carbs just the type. I haven't looked for science on this diet but I've seen and heard of many successes. When I find that any herbs and supplements exacerbating someone's bloating, gas, diarrhea, I suggest this diet. After balance is reached a small intake of complex carbs is allowed without ill effect. Guest guest
I remember reading several places about research as to the probiotic effects of sheng jiang/ginger.... Guest guest
You may also see if the patient is taking any other products with the ultra clear. I know the protocol normally will also use probiotics. If the probiotics contains FOS this can cause some of the symptoms that you are mentioning in some patients.
