Guest guest
I think that I have a better handle on the etiology of my patient's groin pain after a candid discussion with him today. He is 72 and has been impotent for the last 6 or 7 years, and is very frustrated with this condition. Especially since three years ago he married a quite a bit younger woman, he has been unaccepting of his impotence. Perhaps he has been trying quite hard to " get it up " , although he did not say this. So, it became more clear that he has some liver stagnation regarding his erectile dysfunction and that the groin pain is simply stagnation of Qi in the liver channels. We will see at his next appt if this is so, and I will report back. Thank you everybody for your input. Young Song, L.Ac., Dipl. OM Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. Guest guest
It turns out that my groin pain patient has a hernia there (he doesn't know any details about what type of hernia it is). He had already been examined by an MD but he decided to take his own initiative to have a catscan and ultrasound done, by which the hernia was discovered. So he will have surgery soon. By the way, regarding his " hard and bulging " vessels/pulse that I had written about in another email regarding pulses, I was able to incidentally soften it up by the use of Chai Hu Jia Long Gu Mu Li Tang. I appreciated the responses to that earlier email. Young Song, L.Ac., Dipl. OM Note: forwarded message attached.
