Grade) there is no issue with quality control. It seems there is, though, an issue with flax going rancid fairly easily. Flax of course contains high LNA (omega 3)(not much LA) which can be converted into EPA with cofactors of b3, b6, C, mag, and zinc. In around 2% of people this conversion is lost. If many degenerative conditions this conversion is also impaired. DHA and EPA are essential for brain, nerve and adrenal cells. Fish oil of course needs no conversion and one can control the ratio of DHA and EPA with different products. My understanding is DHA and EPA are (also) omega 3's. I would therefore say that Flax does not have a higher content of omega 3's than fish oil. Flax does have LNA which is not is fish oil. The question, that I have, is what are the advantages of having LNA over EPA / DHA? Comments anyone? -
