tender jagged edges

Hello,

What is the clinical significance of tender jagged edges on a tongue? i.e. the

tongue is not definitively teethmarked, but yet has raggedy or jagged edges.

The tongue body (and edge) color is dusky pale. I could not find this in any

tongue book.
