Guest guest
Hi, Seems to me I once suggested that a client apply green clay intravaginally for Bartholin's cyst. Seems like it worked. I don't recall how long she had to apply it, but it wasn't very long. (No, I don't mean modelling clay :-) a p.s. Let me know if it works. Has anyone tried Yin Care for warts? Bartholin's cyst? Guest guest
Hi again, I found the book where I originally discovered this remedy: Rina Nissim's Natural Healing in Gynecology. Might as well report what she describes: " clay as a local application, and rest. Clay has numerous properties. It is rich in minerals and trace elements, is a remineralizer, re-equalizer, and anti-toxic, antiseptic, helps healing and is absorbant. It is used here externally. Clay is prepared in a glass, wood or porcelain dish(not metal or plastic). Cover the clay with water and wait until it is homogeneous. If you are in a hurry, clay can be mixed with a wooden spoon. Cold clay is applied directly to the skin and should be of such thickness that it dries in about an hour. A fresh poultice is applied 2 or 3 times a day in the beginning, then once a day. Clay is simply removed with water. If the skin becomes overly dry, a little oil can be added to the preparation or applied to the skin afterward. " CAUTION: Clay may aggravate the pain before relieving it; it is a true drainer! " Then she goes on to say the clay can be taken orally, in a preparation such as EO of chamomile, thyme, mint or lavender. Alternatively tincture of comfrey, calendula, witch hazel. 10g each with 5g green clay with emulsion of sweet almond oil to arrive at total of 300g. In compresses 2-3 x/d. Actually that last paragraph wasn't clear in the text either, as to which was meant to be taken internally and which as compress. (There was just a skipped line b/w the 2 sets of herbs.) But you get the idea. I think my client just used the clay. Keeps it simple. Add oil if it's too drying. Easy part: clay's available in all health food stores and some pharmacies. Back to the earth :-) Ann p.s. Quick: somebody think of a Chin. herb to add just to comply with the list ;-) Hi, Seems to me I once suggested that a client apply green clay intravaginally for Bartholin's cyst.
