Guest guest
Dear friends I do think that IUDs can represent a complex issue. some women feel great discomfort with them - also feeling bloated and heavy. some women may have an allergic response the dysmenorrhea can be disconcerting and of course heavy bleeding Lucky are the women who can tolerate it with ease, but in my many years I have not met too many women maybe that is why it is under utilized.? and then there is the other issue of blocking the flow of Qi through the lower Jiao birth control.....such an intense quest altogether; natural birthcontrol does not work for all those women who get pregnant from " just thinking about it " .... even though I encourage all my patients to learn their own body as best possible - in all its lunar phases. any other suggestions out there? best wishes and happy harvest to all Verena - " Cara Frank " <herbbabe Wednesday, November 09, 2005 4:13 PM SPAM-LOW: Re: Re: IUD's It is probably related to older experiences with the dalkon shield. Actually they are really under utilized form of birth control. Nearly 100% effectiveness and very few complications. they can cause dysmennorhea and heavy bleeding. The mirena, which has progestin in it thins the endometrium over time, reducing bleeding. Whether or not it is absorbed into the bloodstream is an open question.
