Guest guest
A query, I think that some of the instructors on this list use a slide show database that has pictures of herbs. Could anyone recommend one? I want to include it in my first year PowerPoint for my herb class. And BTW: I was teaching and I sprained my ankle, but the answer to IUD²s and PID is this: the majority of the cases occur within the first 3 weeks of insertion. And mostly in women who already have an infection. Usually an STD like Chlamydia. I agree- they are not perfect. No birth control system is. But they are the most effective system. Fewer than 1% of women get pregnant. That¹s worth something- the relaxation and pleasure that comes from not worrying about getting pregnant. Cara -- Cara O. Frank, R.Ac, Dipl Ac & Ch.H. Guest guest
Cara, Does the IUD prevent conception by spontaneously aborting new fetuses? Or does it prevent fertilization? Guest guest
Hi Cara, If you can get an internet connection into your class feel free to go to the Chinese herb pictures on my website. The focus is mainly on substitutions, quality markers, and preparations. It might be too much info for a first year herb class, but check it out anyway if ya like. http://www.santacruzacupuncture.com/students.html -Danny > I think that some of the instructors on this list use a slide show > database that has pictures of herbs. Guest guest
Really nice work, Danny. Thanks for making your photos available. I definitely hadn't seen a lot of that before (and I love the bit about the dang gui McNuggets). Guest guest
The copper will not kill sperm or egg, but will interfere Zygote to inplant into the uterine linling. Guest guest
The Qpuncture II software has pictures of the herbs. It is nice because it has pictures of the living or fresh plant, as well as the dried/prepared herb, although I can’t remember if this is true for every herb. I have used it in conjunction with a powerpoint presentation and toggled back and forth between both programs. It isn’t the most ideal, but it saved me the time of creating those slides.
