Intl Symposium on Harmonisation of Traditional and Modern

Medicine, 12-14/12/2005, Melbourne, Aust

Dear Colleague,

I am pleased to advise you that an International Symposium,

" Harmonisation of Traditional and Modern Medicine " , organised by

RMIT University in Melbourne, a World Health Organization

Collaborating Centre for Traditional Medicine, will take place in

Melbourne from December 12 to 14th, 2005. I attach a pdf. file that will

provide you with a program summary as well as link you to the website

(www.rmit.edu.au/rd/harmonisation) where you can obtain details of

registration, abstract submission and accommodation. For further

information you may also contact: harmonisation2005

This timely symposium will deals with many issues that are critical to

determining the role of herbal medicines in healthcare systems

throughout the world. In addition to many international speakers that are

participating we are pleased to announce that Madame She Jing, the

Vice Minister of Health and Director General of State Administration of

Traditional , the People's Republic of China, will be

attending and there will be participation and contributions from the

Ministry of Health in Malaysia, Health Canada and the Therapeutic

Goods Administration of Australia.

We believe that this symposium will also provide an excellent

opportunity for researchers, regulators, practitioners, and students to

hear from the world's experts who will be presenting talks and attending

this symposium. We are hoping that you can encourage as many staff

and students as possible from your institution to attend and submit

abstracts. The deadline for submitting abstracts is now Monday, 28

November 2005.

Please feel free to let me know if asistance is required.

Charlie Xue
