Try encoding ....then choose Japanese auto select.

Since I have had to re install my operating system...the only chinese software

I have is nj star and something is amiss with one of my settings so that when I

write chinese characters on my computer they look alright but if I send them to

anyone...they get jumbled into chinese alphabet soup or those ugly empty boxes.

The characters I sent were copied and pasted from a Japanese computerized text.
