some folks may be interested in this mac app. it prevents your

computer from sending messages out through your network without

notifying you first. It effectively prevents any form of worm or

trojan horse or data miner from stealing stuff from your computer.

It does not prevent infection by these things, just prevents them

from sending your data to somewhere else via the internet. perhaps

all the more important now that it has become clear that the NSA is

data mining every network connection in the country using software

that looks for certain keywords.
