Guest guest
Dear Members of Chinese Herbal Group, First of all I woul like to introduce me: I´m a brazilian student of TCM,I live in Belo Horizonte, the 3td biggest city in Brazil, now I´m in the 6o.period of the course (All course is composed of 10 periods or 5 years and 1 semester in China, where we are going to receive our Diploma because TCM is not recognized for the Brasil Government ). My University is affiliated to BUCM_Beijing University. Our course is almost 30% of western subjects of Medicine and 70% of Chinese Subjects. I´m starting to develop my Monography for the end of the course trying to introduce in Public Health of Government, I think is the best way to become known here, because everyone think is only acupuncture. Chinese Herbal here is almost impossible to buy, sometimes only patented medicines, formulas prepared as " Tang " are very very expensive. Last year I went to N.Y. and there I could see that Chinese herbal is sold in groceries, not only in pharmacies. Maybe it will be a solution for us in the future , sell Chinese herbals as a alimentary complement… Well friends, I would like to ask if someone could help me, telling me or indicating me sites about how the introduction of TCM in United States was, atual model of working in the Country or things like that, in order to try to show the Brazil Government that it works. Since now, I thank you to let me be a member of this group and for you attention. All the best for everybody. Guest guest
Hello, I cannot tell you how to set up the national acceptance of acupuncture, but only suggest that maybe by making a connection to traditional healing would help. " Wind in the Blood " by Hernan Garcia. Talks about the similarity between Mayan medicine and Chinese medicine. Also, there is a story in Acupuncture Today that features some Americans working in Guatamala, maybe their experience there might help you. http://www.acupuncturetoday.com/archives2002/mar/03luban.html Good luck, Rozz > Dear Members of Chinese Herbal Group, > > First of all I woul like to introduce me: I´m a brazilian student > of > TCM,I live in Belo Horizonte, the 3td biggest city in Brazil, now > I´m > in the 6o.period of the course (All course is composed of 10 > periods > or 5 years and 1 semester in China, where we are going to receive > our > Diploma because TCM is not recognized for the Brasil Government ). > My > University is affiliated to BUCM_Beijing University.
