Guest guest
Thanks. I¹ll look into it. I want something that can only be accessed by a password. So I need to see if moodle can do this. -- Cara O. Frank, R.Ac, Dipl Ac & Ch.H. Guest guest
IMO, the first term, " dispersing wind and clearing heat " - Is slightly more vague. This is because, usually when one uses the term 'clearing' (qing1), it most of the time refers to the clearing INTERIOR heat. Therefore one possible understanding of this phrase is that there is a simultaneous interior (heat) pattern with a pathogen also present on the exterior. BUT, clear heat (qing1) is a general term that can be used for any type of method that gets rid of heat, therefore the phrase can also just pertain to a pathogen (wind-heat / warmth) on the exterior, with no interior involvement. 'Dispersing wind-heat' basically just has a pathogen on the exterior and would be similar to the latter example above. Guest guest
My opinion is that this is just a style of the author and there's not difference between dispersing wind-heat and, dispersing wind and clearing heat. You know, they favor that four character rhythm in educated texts. This came up initially with " clear heat, purge fire " . I asked my writing partner Yi Qiao if that wasn't a little redundant? She said it was just the style of written Chinese of a certain era, that's all. Seemed reasonable to me. -al. Guest guest
Sorry, dear Al I agree with Jason more 1. dispersing wind and clear heat: the pathogen is wind, but already have the exist internal heat 2. the 'Dispersing wind-heat' basically just has a wind-heat pathogen on the exterior and most time happend in the summer time. Guest guest
Thank you Jason, I agree with you on this. This makes me think about that small group of formulas that deal with int/ext excess. Fang feng tang shang tang, for example. In that case, you are dispersing wind as well as clearing heat. -- Cara O. Frank, R.Ac, Dipl Ac & Ch.H.
