Guest guest
Here is a sample letter for those that are interested in supporting AB3014 Hon. Paul Koretz State Capitol, Room 4140 Sacramento, CA 95814 RE: AB 3014 -- SUPPORT AS AMENDED Dear Assemblyman Koretz: I am writing on behalf of XXX in strong support of AB 3014 as amended. [DESCRIBE WHAT XXX DOES - WHAT FUNCTION/PURPOSE XXX SERVES IN TERMS OF THE ACUPUNCTURE COMMUNITY, BOTH FOR STUDENTS AND PRACTITIONERS AND CONSUMERS]. Existing law defines an acupuncturist's scope of practice using the phrase " Asian massage, " a term some people find to be pejorative. AB 3014 as amended alleviates this concern by deleting the words " Asian massage " from the existing code and replacing it with just the term's definition, which will be codified into law should this bill be signed into law. This definition was fully vetted in the Assembly Business & Professions Committee on May 9, 2006. Please note that the California Acupuncture Board voted unanimously to support this bill at their May 23, 2006, meeting. This action strongly signals the Board's approval of the definition of " Asian massage " as set forth in AB 3014, and the fact that this bill does not enhance the Acupuncturist's scope of practice, it merely clarifies it. There are currently over 10,000 licensed acupuncturists in California, and they provide a vital health care service to a large and diverse patient population. Traditional Asian medicine is a vital and growing part of our contemporary health care system, and its role in California should be preserved, enhanced and fairly reimbursed in accordance with the legislature's original intent in legalizing the practice as a primary health care profession. For these reasons, XXX respectfully requests your support of AB 3014. Sincerely, XXXXXXXX XXXX Oakland, CA 94609 - dkssud6_6 Saturday, April 29, 2006 10:07 PM Re: Ingredients of FAHF-1 (Antiallergic formula) from what i found out, there were a different set of formula that used ku shen, huang qin and ling zhi... i'll find a quote... here it is: Other particularly preferred inventive herbal compositions include at least the herbs Huang Qing, Ku Sen, and Ling Zhi.
