Guest guest
I'm going to address the announcement issue we had a few weeks ago. These are the rules. Yes, you can announce your own upcoming lectures but with a few restrictions. 1- they must be hand written, as it were, by you. Tell us, CHA, that you are doing something in the same way you normally post. This means don't send your standard release that you send out in masse to your students, schools etc... 2- Only acupuncture and herbal medicine. Please no Taichi and Qigong, essential oils etc... 3- give a clear contact website or number for furthur information but please don't list the prices, nor the hours, syllabus for the class etc... 4- Posts can only be by long and good-standing CHA members. (in other words we want to know you a little before you post your announcement) 5- the purpose of these notices is to tell us, your cyber-friends, what you are up to and if members happen to be in the area might want to go. 6- Put your own email address on for questions (this must be formatted as sonandso AT mywebsite.com to get around the formatting restrictions on email addresses). Also other member try not to respond to the notices on CHA unless they are of interest to the CHA community. Contact the individual first. I think this is clear yet flexible and fair. I also believe CHA members, if they knew what has gone on behind the CHA curtain, would appreciate it. Often we have gotten new members who also happen to be affiliated with large enterprises and then get bombarded with notices about their seminars. I'm sorry, Ross, if you got caught in the middle of the cross fire of our policies. Bob, if you would like to do the same under the above rules that is fine also. I know you are going to be in Los Angeles this weekend. Unfortunately, I don't think I can make it but if you see a really tall, handsome guy in the back of the room, well that's me. :-) doug
