See also http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4051533.stm That article says that the cells were injected in a one-off treatment into the wall of the urethra near the sphincter. One might ask: (1) Would biologically inert silicone-type bulking of the urethral wall do the same job, or is cell replication (from the injected stem-cells) really the key? (2) Would acupuncture (or allied methods, such as laser, DIY electro- stimulation, or vibro-massage) near the urethra do the same job?
