In Memoriam

 

Rory Kerr, L.Ac, passed away today. Rory graduated

from Emperor’s College in the 1980’s and practiced

in Los Angeles, Berkeley and New

York. He studied with John Shen was one of the

earliest students of Leon Hammer. He taught the

Shen/Hammer pulse system for Dragon Rises for many

years. He also taught at ACTCM, New York College for

Health Sciences, Pacific College of Oriental Medicine

(NY) and Touro College Dept of AOM. Rory was

dedicated to the advancement of Oriental Medicine in

the US. He contributed to many online web discussions

and he was the editor of Leon Hammer’s Pulse Diagnosis

book. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him

well. Rory had spent the last year fighting colon

cancer and had spent the last several months in a

hospice in Long Island. He leaves behind 2 brothers,

a dog (Willow) and many, many friends. Blessings.

Thanks for posting news of Rory's passing. Sorry to hear this. He was

a real gentleman in every sense of that word.

Rory was a warm, gentle and patient teacher who would have a sensitive

interaction with every person in his class. I am saddened to lose such a

wonderful communicator of who taught with humility and insight.

A great loss of a superior practitioner.

 

He was greatly involved with CHA at one point, and contributed to

some great exchanges. He will be missed.
