Guest guest
I have assumed buds were the flowers but older. What do you think? I got a plant last year, but it got unhappy and croaked .. *Smile* Chris (list mom)
Guest guest
Well that makes sense. Why didn't I think of that! Thank you! Do you use grosso or another kind of lavender? I have also used lavendar with chicken ( I tend to put it under the skin as I do most herbs). Have fun! Carol

Guest guest
They really love abuse, Chris . . . Maybe you were too kind. :-) The more your abuse them, the more oil they produce. As I remember, the perfect soil is 1/3 each of small pea gravel, sand and so-so (not rich) topsoil. No fertilizer. They like an arid climate generally, but even with our rain here on the west side of the Cascades, since we have hot, dry summers, they thrive.
