Guest guest
Nancy, what part of the country are you in? I have moles (is that the same as gophers?) - and they are really tearing up our property! We didn't have anything like that where I came from, so I don't know what to do about them. If castor beans will make them stay away, I'm all for it. Also, fireants. Anything natural I can use on fireants? I know about DE, but I'm not sure how effective that is. I guess the list could go on - my gosh, everything grows in the South....even the bugs! Guest guest
Jeanne, I was told use some of the cream of wheat that's the quick type... This from a guy who does the spraying of some of the apartments around Houston... Pour it on the nest... They eat it and it soaks up the water in their bodies and expands... And it may take a while but it's supposed to kill them with out pesticides... I've never tried it myself, but hey cream of wheat is kinda cheap and it's also good to eat as well... Guest guest
I read somewhere recently (I can't remember where): If you want to repel moles, take hair clippings (check with a barber or beautician) and put them in the mole holes/tunnels. They will very soon depart (probably for the neighbor's lawn!). All natural, no pesticides!!!! Barb
Guest guest
Ji Jeanne, Michigan....... My neighbors use to set traps. No way I could do that. It seems so cruel. The moles tunnel, don't know what the gopher do. As they tunnel, they eat anything in front of them. Did have something natural for fireants, I think it could be in the archives. Just had to format my computer so trying to find the info would be hard. HTH Nancy Nancy, what part of the country are you in?
