Guest guest
If recycling is a key issue for you, then no. I would think there are other underlying major issues though.... Guest guest
Thanks folks... you were dead-on in the key areas... one, I was (well at least half) joking... two, there's plenty else going on. A translation of my email could have been, " Excuse me while I share some current frustration and wonder how I've been with this person for 3 years " . Where's the line between wanting a robot for a partner and wanting to share some basic values and modes of operating in the world? The comparisons brought up aren't parallel because things like the seat being left up or down, or caps left on or off products, don't affect anything outside of our home. As opposed to recycling and composting (our city provides a wonderful curbside compost pickup that half the residents seem unwilling to use). -Josh
Guest guest
Hey Josh, > Is it wrong to break up with someone because they won't recycle? I don't think there is any right or wrong in relationships .. there are successful and unsuccessful ones .. and the reasons folks stay together or break up are too complicated to assign clear cut labels to them. Like .. is it wrong to break up cause one partner never puts the cap back on the toothpaste? My opinion .. if I were in a position to even consider the question .. I would break up fast because I'd be barely hanging on to begin with .. and it might be less painful to use a ridiculous reason get out of a relationship that I believed had no firm foundation than to wait for a valid, rational reason. > -Josh Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
