Guest guest
Hi y'all, Hydroponics is a good solution to a lack of space. I have a friend in Hawaii (owns Green Growers of Hawaii) who has been raising tomatoes using such a system for better than 35 years. He supplies most of the restaurants and hotels on Oahu. But .. Hydroponics is NOT Organic. Hydroponics involves using a holding system like rocks or sand or lava, etc. Then a trellis .. and a pump that pumps water mixed with various sulfates, phosphates and nitrates and other nutrients .. to the roots of the plants. Its effective .. but not Organic in the pure sense. > It is kinda expensive but I have seen special pots that can grow a > whole garden on a patio. check the back pages of a garden magazine. > They are hydoponic(spl?) Drae Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
