Syndicated DVM on EOs and cats

Dr. Michael Fox's veterinary column appears weekly in my local paper. He's

pretty cool, into good food for pets, holistic treatments, savvy behavior

modification. He does, however, frequently post about using EOs on cats,

says it's OK (my words, not his.) I found it a hassle to contact him about

it, since they tell you to write the paper. Ha. Like I do snail mail.

Well, on Sunday he did it again, so I googled him, found his webpage, and

wrote him. Here's what I wrote, and his reply. He said it is OK to post

this. He also sent me a Word doc on tick and flea control, if anybody would

like it. I haven't read it in depth, so I'm not sure what it says.

so if you get a hit from Minneapolis, Kathleen, it's him, checking out the

article. I have no idea what Bell's book says. Anybody have it?

Hi Anya,

I sure hope he DOES check it out. The Vet (Dr. Fred Pomeroy) who wrote the

article on my site is very well known and highly respected in his field and

Dr. Fox certainly couldn't get better information from a more reliable

source than another veternarian.

As for the book... Hmmmm. Some people really like it, some people really

don't. Some people that I really respect don't like it for a number of

reasons. I haven't read it, but I have had some folk mention some worrisome

things she has written about cats.

Like I said, I haven't read it though. Sure would love to have someone

review it for me, especially if they don't have an axe to grind, anything to

gain AND knows about proper EO use on dogs and cats (NONE! NONE! NONE!).
