Guest guest
You got me interested in looking at my son's research on ticks and thought I would share this because I did not read it in any of the posts on ticks. What are ticks? Blood-sucking acarines Second most important vector of infectious diseases: Ehrlichia chaffeensis Rickettsia rickettsii (Rocky Mountian Spotted Fever) borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme Disease) Borrelia lonestari (STARI - Southern Tick-Associated Rash Illness) Babesia It also appears that difference species carry different infectious diseases too, HME, Cattle Fever and a few more. Female ticks have 2,000 to 20,000 eggs per female. I found the list very interesting as this is on the Ticks of Webb County TX.
