Guest guest
I've been asked by a shop where I sell soap if I could bottle some EOs for sale . . . I'll only be doing this on a very small scale, so I'm wondering if I could get some feedback on what EO tend to sell best . . . If some of you who sell EOs would be willing to share what your top 5 or 10 sellers are, I'd be very grateful . . . I'm also wondering what sizes to offer . . . I was thinking maybe 1/2 oz. bottles. Would 1 oz. be a good idea, too? Last question . . . I'm thinking of maybe doing a few blends for either (or both) diffusing and/or ritual purposes (this shop has a large pagan clientele). Again, any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks ever so much for your advice. Roxanne

What sells best and what is best are not always the same. I will tell you what the best choices for basic oils would be. You should also have some decent information there on safety and dilutions. Lavender angustifolia 10 ml Eucalyptus radiata 10 ml Chamomile roman or german 5 ml Geranium 10 ml Lemon 10 ml Tea Tree 10 ml Rosemary 10 ml Sweet Orange 10 ml Ravensara 10 ml There are many others I would also think about adding but those would be the first (all pretty safe for beginners) Also consider: Ylang Ylang, Clary Sage, Juniper, Cypress, Pine, Frankincense, Manuka, Niaouli, Thyme linalool, Ginger, Oregano vulgare, Helichrysum italicum. I'd also offer a carrier oil for dilution in a 4 oz bottle. Sweet Almond & Jojoba is a good mixture. You may also want to offer some 10% dilutions of some expensive oils like: Rose otto or absolute Jasmine absolute *(sambac or grandi) & Helichrysum itlicum and Rose Hydrosol in 1 or 2 oz spray bottles and 4 oz refill sizes. This would be an excellent start! You will have a great variety of oils that sell and work well. > > I'm also wondering what sizes to offer . . . I was thinking maybe 1/2 > oz. > bottles. Would 1 oz. be a good idea, too? If they are diluted perhaps 1 oz. I would suggest undiluted 5 or 10 ml bottles. People need to understand how concentrated these are. > > Last question . . . Sure, Singles popular for this niche would include: Frankincense Myrrh Spikenard Vetiver Rose Sweet Orange Cinnamon Leaf Clove Sandalwood (it raises ethical issues with some) Ylang Ylang Angelica rt You could sell some books that are on blending for these purposes. Books might include: Aromatherapy for Healing the Spirit by Gabriel Mojay The Fragrant Heavens by, Valerie Ann Worwood The first is excellent. Both nice for this niche and broader. Also either of these books (not my personal faves but...) may also appeal to a pagan audience: Incense, Oils, & Brews by Scott Cunningham Magical Aromatherapy by Scott Cunningham > > Thanks ever so much for your advice. > > Roxanne Best wishes to you and success!
