Guest guest
I sent this message this morning but it didn't seem to have gone through. Sorry if it turns out to be a repeat. Dear all, A friend of mine is looking for certain essential oils - without any luck. Specifically, he is looking for Butterfly Orchid (Platanthera Bifolia), Chrysanthemum, Phlox and Lily-of-the-Valley (Convallaria Majalis) (my friend is very interested in perfumery). I personally have never heard of these but that doesn't mean much. Could you tell me if these EOs exist, and, if so, whether they have any AT use. If they don't exist, however, I would really appreciate your thoughts on the reasons why. Thanks a bunch in advance, Nika
Guest guest
Hi Nika I am new to the group and first time I post here. > Specifically, he is looking for Butterfly Orchid (Platanthera Bifolia), Chrysanthemum, Phlox and Lily-of-the-Valley (Convallaria Majalis). I don't know for the first two, but as far as lily-of-the-valley, there is no EO. You can only find FO (fragrance oil - synthetic). Guest guest
Thank you , Bella. Halina just pointed me in the direction of a page that says that there is a lily-of-the-valley EO. And that is good news because neither I nor my friend are interested in fragrance oils. My nose just can't stand them! I might be able to suggest something else (natural). Elizabeth Whole Life Essentials http://www.WholeLifeEssentials.com

Oshadhi offers a chrysanthemum absolute, solvent extracted. I've not seen it on any of my suppliers lists, tho (altho I've not LOOKED for it quoted from " the good scents company's' data base: regarding lily of the valley abs: >Laymen or people outside the perfumery profession are often very surprised >when they are told that lily of the valley is not one of the important raw >materials.
