Guest guest
tried it? When I first read about it I wondered why anyone would bother... I'm still wondering. Guest guest
Some of you may have remembered me going around the NAHA conference in '96 with my Lav abs, or when I have seen you at other events, like our Un conferences we held here in Tucson. Still don't know any aromatherpy uses for it but is sure smells good. It is truly a wonderful sweet lavender smell but without any of that sharp, acrid camphorous after smell that many if not all Lav EOs have Graham Sorenson http://Luna-Aromatics.com Come and stick your nose in our business The Home of " Arizona Balm " the Natural Solution to Problem Dry Skin. Guest guest
The absolute has a notably different smell than the distilled oil does. It smells really nice - its mostly used in perfumery. *Smile* Chris (list mom) Valentine's Pre-Buy Going On NOW!!!! Guest guest
The absolutes and attars smell different from the EOs and from each other. I am not sure of the difference between an EO, and attar and an absolute. . ..I’m guessing it has to do with the level of refinement. Anyone know? Dave Thanks Graham and Chris I was thinking the smell HAD to be different. Hope someone brings some to the Aromatherapy " Thing " this summer... IF I get to go, which I'm pulling for! No " still note " , of course. There is also lavender concrete, which is also very nice. The absolute is used in perfumery, and when combined with the concrete and EO, gives an amazing lavender scent, since each of those processes contains a little bit of something missing from the other. Hope this makes sense. http://naturalperfumery.com The premier site on the Web to discover the beauty of Natural Perfume Join to study natural perfumery

Guest guest
Dear Anya, For the first time, here in South/ Central Florida, I have been able to grow Lavendar. I am so excited!! It is even about to flower (at least there are buds) but,not having used this herb before, can anyone advise me on whether I should dry and use the leaves BEFORE it flowers or WAIT for the flowers and use them AND the leaves? I intend to use the dried herb in some balms and salves.............Herbally yours Penny Penny Khaled http://www.geocities.com/pennykhaled75 http://www.organicnutrition.co.uk " Cheerfullness, sir, is the principle ingredient in the composition of Health " ..Arthur Murphy (18th C.
