Guest guest
Hi Jay, > hi > > I am searching for oil which would help in firming/ toning the muscles, esp. > upper arm, breast, abdomen, thighs. And would one need to massage, or just > applying by yourself will work as well? I know of no such oils .. but if we search enough companies that sell oils we will find plenty that will make such claims. > Was going through Valerie Ann Worwood, she suggests basil, lavender, > cypress, juniper, fennel, grapefruit. Anyone has had first hand experience ? > any feedback appreciated My opinion is that Worwood's recommendations are similar to Catty's. I have had this opinion for a long time .. its about extrapolation. My recommendations .. lay off sweets and carbs .. lay on protein .. and perform specific exercises for each muscle group you wish to tighten and tone .. basically, you build up muscle tissue. There is tons of good info out there .. even on the search engines .. but there are no easy ways to do it. The older we are the more time it takes .. I began to firm up and lose weight after age 60 .. I had let myself go for 7 years or so .. but now I look close to how I looked when I retired from the Army in January 1989. It was NOT a real difficult thing to do .. but it was NOT something I was able to do quickly .. and it is NOT something we can do if we're NOT willing to stick to it. Start out by walking .. at least a half hour at a stretch .. then slowly increase the speed and the time. You'll soon see that you are able to cover twice the distance in half the time .. and that will make you feel good. In a short time .. you'll be amazed at your increase in stamina. Might be that you need to do bent knee sit ups .. and a few muscle stress exercises that can easily be done using a wall or chair. My opinion is that if we need to find something to help us eat less then we're not in the right frame of mind to take on such an effort. The most important thing is Motivation. The rewards are obvious .. and if you stick to it you'll begin to see and feel those rewards in as little as two weeks time. Then it will slow down a bit .. but don't become discouraged because one day you will wake up looking and feeling like you wanted to when you began. I lost 7 inches in the waist and over 30 pounds .. and look damn good even if that sounds like bragging. ;-) You can do it if you want to. > thnkx > Jay Welcome you are .. good luck .. and happy exercising. Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
