Guest guest
Hey Anita, > The first time we went to visit hubby's brother in Ocean Springs, > near Pascagoula and where BIL works, we all (hubby, 3 kids, and I) > started singing this song! Thanks for the memories! > Anita in TX Welcome fer'shur .. that song always reminds me of a little Cumberland Presbyterian Church in the town of Herman, KY .. population 35. Its in a woods and lots of hickory nut trees. Long ago the squirrels started getting into the attic and they're still there. Folks don't wanna kill them .. seems like not the right thing to do in a church .. so they tolerate them when they get to running around while the preacher is hollering about Hell Fire & Damnation. ;-) Surprising it is but its not a problem finding preachers for such little churches .. most have a circuit preacher comes around once a month or maybe every two months. Feller can't make much money that way but there is always one comes around. In the meantime .. there's some feller who knows how to preach and calls himself Brother This or That picking up the slack. My aunt was one of those folks for years .. she preached at the Tennessee State Prison. Had no formal training in that field but she knew the business and did a right fair job .. said most folks. ;-) Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
