Guest guest
There is a huge flea market about 25 miles from here. DH is a hard core flea market addict. On the months that he has the week end off, we have to go to the flea market both days. More than once I've called his cell telling him I'm tired and sitting at this place or telling him where I am and to come find me Paula .......... in Michigan I used to have super powers but my therapist took them away > ...hubby and I were at a Home Depot. Guest guest
Ours is a family type cell phone... The kids' father will take them out somewhere or I'll go out somewhere and I get 40-11 phone calls asking where I am, when I'm coming home, they miss me etc. Lately when the cell phone rings I answer it with " NO MORE ANIMALS!!! " Going " OUT " by myself, doesn't mean what it used to mean. It USED to mean that I'd get three or four hours of blissfull peace and quiet... Now it means that 20 whole minutes might go by before the tracking device goes off again... I'm getting sneaky though, I've been known to " Accidentally " leave it in the car or press the power button a wee bit too long and have it turn off. While they are definately useful little animals, I find that cellphones can be WAAAAY too intrusive. Guest guest
Hey Goody, > ...hubby and I were at a Home Depot. Idjits in my building were buzzing these folks in when they rang and said something on the speaker like Mail Man or even when they replied with an answer that was not even understood. Anyway .. now we have to go downstairs and physically open the door. So when friends come .. they buzz me on my pocket phone and I go down and let them in. Pain in the butt it is but our building has been hit one too many times .. so its worth it. ;-) And .. like you do .. we use the cell phones to connect when we're in the big shopping malls .. no way could you find someone otherwise. ;-) Howsomeever, since cell phones are great devices for detonating big bang devices .. we can't take them into many government facilities now. Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com PS: I have a wrought iron barred door outside my apartment door .. it would take a lot of work to get it open but they have done such things in other apartments. So .. when I go on my annual trips to the USA, I put a sign on the wall telling the bad guys that there is no jewelry, cash or guns in the apartment .. but I have a TV, stereo and DVD .. if they feel it is worth the effort. I think they will go to my neighbors before they hit me. ;-)
Guest guest
Yup.... I love my " off " button. Actually, I only turn on the phone when I'm expecting someone to call me or when I need it. I don't leave it turned on all the time. I figure if someone needs to call me while I'm at work, they can call that number. Besides, my building is a big huge shielded lump of concrete so cell phone signals don't get through very well anyway and the constant searching for a signal just drains out the battery.
