Guest guest
Deanna, I never saw an answer to your question, unless someone private emailed you. Anyway, I did some calculations on my own, and here's what I came up with. The formula below is at best a 15% solution - if you include the beeswax and I did because it is a substance - which is very very high. I have not offically studied aromatherapy, so please keep that in mind. I do however, have quite a few books on hand, and a software program. That being said, if you were going to make this for your friend, or " approve it " , I would use 1/3 of the amount recommended. That is, 10 drops of the eucalyptus, 12 drops of the camphor, (yes, it's out there - used in many ointments & salves) and 2 drops of the peppermint. That brings it to a 5% solution, which I understand to be appropriate for a message oil, but still a little bit on the high end. I'm sure this also is dependent on the actions of the oils on the skin. I know there are some very knowledgeable folks on this list - any feedback?
