Guest guest
Dear Butch, Tanya and Alexander, Congradulations to ya'll. What happy news. I'm sure Alexander will grow up to be a good man just like his father. Butch, now you have your work cut out for you. Thankfully Tanya's Mother will be there to help you. Know you will take good care of your new family. Hugs to you all Nancy Hi y'all, From 8 PM Saturday night till 5 AM Sunday morning my wife had a rough time .. and we chalked it up to false labor .. and a couple of other possibilities. Around 5:30 AM (Sunday, 5 March) I decided it wasn't false labor .. so we headed to the hospital .. arrived at 6:00 AM .. our son (Alexander Maurice Owen) was born at 08:44 AM. Delivery was by Dr. Fatih Demirtola, assisted by LTC (Ret) Butch Owen and 2005 crop Turkish Rosa damascena. ;-) Alexander is 18.9 inches in length and 6 lb, 11 oz in weight and he and Tanya are doing great. They both came home last night .. the stay in the hospital was but 12 hours. It is my hope that Alexander will live up to his name and follow the footsteps of his father and his father's father .. be a Commissioned Officer of the Warrior Class. Though some folks dislike this line of work that's their problem .. its an honorable vocation that is necessary for the continued security of any Nation and soldiers will continue to do their thing without regard to who likes them or not. As all good soldiers know .. tis far better to be early than to be late. Alexander started his life in the proper manner .. he reported for duty 20 days or so early. ;-) Tanya's mother arrives from Russia today .. she will have a pleasant surprise waiting for her. ;-) Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com

Guest guest
Congratulations, It 'tis indeed a fine occupation. I do hope that he follows in his daddy's footsteps, there are too many that are finding the work of a soldier as undesirable and not as honorable as it truely is. Theresa G. Guest guest
Congratulations Butch and Tanya. Little Alexander is welcomed to the world joyfully . . . his oyster . . . his canvas to paint, in all the shades of duty, love, passion and devotion. Your job now, is to nurture, protect and love him, no matter his personal life choices in the future. Sometimes not easy; they rarely become carbon copies of ourselves, nor do they ultimately do what we want or tell them to (even when we know what's best). :-) Whatever his choices, I know that your honor and integrity, Butch, will serve him well. Guest guest
Butch, that is such wonderfully happy news. Congratulations to you and your wife. Alexander is a warrior name if I've ever heard one and Maurice was my father's name. Great and wonderful all rolled into a little bundle of happiness. Sue D. Guest guest
I've pictures of Butch and Tanya. Alexander will go far if he has his mommy's looks and his daddy's gift for charm Just kidding Butch I doubt that I would recognize a friend of ours with out his beard - never seen him with out it. When his daughter was born, everyone told him they hoped the baby looked like mom or she'd get picked on a lot if she looked too much like her dad (referring to his beard) and it took 2 weeks before he figured out what we meant ! LOL Paula .......... in Michigan I used to have super powers but my therapist took them away Congratulations, Butch and Tanya! Welcome wee Alexander!
