Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I put all my eo's into my fridge and then wondered if maybe I should keep patchouli and sandalwood out. Have no idea why I think that and would like some of the experts advice. Many thanks. Virginia West Aussie

Many thanks. not an expert, by any means... but the only ones I'd think about storing in the fridge are possibly the cold pressed citrus, the conifer needles (ie, pine, balsam, spruce, etc) and other very short lived oils. and only if they are going to be unused for goodly periods. ie, if you are going to be pulling it out every day, I think the sudden changes btwn room temp and fridge would do as much harm as storing at cool room temperature. (note I'm saying cool room temp... if it's summer and no air conditioning, that's a different story!) Guest guest
I keep a lot of my oils in the fridge - shea butter, cocoanut, palm, monoi, etc along with my EO's and FO's. Put them there for the same reasons you put food in the fridge - preserves them so they last longer before going bad/rancid Paula .......... in Michigan I used to have super powers but my therapist took them away Hi Everyone, I put all my eo's into my fridge and then wondered if maybe I should keep patchouli and sandalwood out. Guest guest
Thanks Paula. It is very hot here in Perth during summer, and if this month is anything to go on,autumn now as well. I have to keep keep shea butter etc in the fridge -otherwise it melts. I just wondered about patchouli and sandalwood.
