Guest guest
Hello everyone, I joined this group last Fall (I think) and I'd planned to pop in and introduce myself and say hello to all of you. Of course, then everything " hit the fan " for me. My elderly mother (87 years old) who had dementia/Alzheimer's and a whole slew of other serious health issues (heart, kidneys, colon cancer, etc. etc.) was in the hospital for a week in early December, and then she was released from the hospital (for a few days), and then she passed away last December. Her funeral was a week before Christmas last year. Whew! A funeral and Christmas - only a week apart??? Yikes! Anyway, not looking for sympathy - cuz my mom's passing was really sort of a " good " thing, cuz her cancer had returned (three large masses in her abdomen... ugh!) and I was beginning to wonder just how gruesome it was going to get for her (and for me too). I know that she's at peace now - and life moves forward for the rest of us. She had soooo many serious health issues and had also lived a very long, and full, life. It was simply time for her to leave this Earthly plane, and move on to the next level of " being " . Anyway, I'm finally (!!!) getting around to popping in here to say hello to everyone. So far, I've been sneaking in here periodically and reading, and learning, while I lurk. I really like this group, and I'm sure that it's gonna be one of my favorites. I have an assortment of EO's, and I'll acquire more over time. I also bought a couple of books last Fall on EO's and I'm looking forward to actually having the time to READ them, sometime. LOL! Hopefully soon! I live in Michigan (which currently can't decide if it's supposed to be Spring... or Winter. LOL!). I'm a hobbyist CP soapmaker, who's *shocked* that I'm going to 50 in a few months (eeek!!! Wondering HOW, and WHEN, did THAT happen??? Ha! Ha!). Married, no kids, one very old, much-loved dog (a Sheltie, who's " on her last legs " - but also has already outlived the normal life expectancy for her breed by 2 or 3 years). We live in a rural, largely agricultural area of MI. Small town life here, with low crime rates, no traffic jams, etc. I also plan to go to school this Fall to study massage therapy. Wooohoo! Can't wait to get started with it! My DH and I are currently preparing for a trip out west to Las Vegas, and Phoenix, in a couple of weeks. I've got a friend who's getting married in Vegas (should be FUN!) and DH and I are both reallllly ready for this vacation trip. More ready than I can even express in mere words. LOL! It's good to be here and learn from everyone who has more knowledge and experience, than I do with EO's. Thanks for sharing!
