Guest guest
Sheesh! I blathered on and on soooo much in my (very tardy!) intro, that I forgot to ask my questions. Sometimes I " worry " about myself a little bit. LOL! I'm prolly just too focused on our trip now. Ha! First question regards my DH's newly diagnosed rosacea. What do I give him for it? So far, I've been giving him Lavender EO, (he even requested his own bottle of it, LOL!) also gave him straight emu oil for it, as well as plain shea butter, plain cocoa butter, and few other things. I prolly should mix up something for him with a few good base oils, and a couple of EO's in it. Like prolly Lavender - and what else would be good for him? I don't have Helichrysum (yet), nor Chamomile. Gotta get some of each soon. I know that simpler and purer, more natural things should be better for him - as opposed to store-bought, chemical, and preservative-laden things. Fortunately, I'm a hobbyist CP soaper, so I've got all kinds of base oils and EO's on hand. Suggestions? TIA! Second question regards my eczema. Most of the time it's quite manageable - with an occasional mild outbreak here and there. Okay, fine. However, my upcoming trip (with some " vacation stress " and also the heat out west) might very well cause a flare-up for me. Lavender EO in emu would prolly be my first choice. What else? I don't have problems with it very often, so I'm kinda " rusty " as to how to deal with it the best. Suggestions? TIA! Guest guest
Nice to meet you also Linda! There have been a few discussions about Rosacea here as well as Eczema. I wish I had time to go back and help you find the posts to get you started, but my sick child is having mom-I-need-you-itis. However, if you go the bottom of the messages you will see a box that says search. Type in the word and just keep hitting search and search more (I think) until you get to the posts! Chris has a better post on how to locate previous posts but dern it if I couldn't find that one either! lol Good luck! Laura
Guest guest
Hi Linda, Welcome! Both Rosacea and eczema are indications that the trouble is more than skin deep. How is your liver? Your digestion? Elimination? I am more into herbs than oils, so other people can pipe up with oil suggestions. Actually, I do know that grapefruit or lemon oil, applied over the liver (diluted of course) is supposed to be good. Otherwise, it is almost dandelion season, go get them! All parts. Even the stems of fully flowering dandies can be nibbled as a mildly bitter treat. Great for liver and gall bladder. Have fun! Ien in the Kootenays ************************** Stop. Breathe.
