Hi Carol:

One of the best way of keeping cats out of plants & planters is to line the top

of the dirt with pebbles, stones, even sea shells will do the trick. Their

claws don't care much for heavy things on top of the soil. :0) Tried and true

with my previous house kittys. Now we just outside wild ones.

Anyone have a way to tame wild kittens? <groan>

A most fragrant evening to ya,

It is my experience that the only way to tame wild kittens is patience and a

true love of the species.

Hi Stan - You are a lucky dude, since your cats left your plants alone after

putting stones on the top of the soil. We have a fountain in our screened in

porch that is essentially a pile of stones with a motor and tube coming through

the middle where the water comes out. Our cats, Bebe and Lil, like to attempt

to drink from the fountain. And, they like to steal a stone from the fountain

and then bat it around the floor for a while. Now we have stones all over the

porch. LOL.

Good luck,

MaryEllen

[Dave:] I’ve suspected for some time that cats are really aliens. My bad

girl, Miz Odessa the Transgressa, won’t drink from anything but a fountain.

And she won’t use a cat box. She goes in the bathroom sink. Yeah I know –

eeewwwwww! But it’s easy to clean, and there’s no use trying to change her.

We’re only staff.
