Babassu is one of the best things in the world, as far as I'm

concerned!...LOL.

I'd consider it a 'must have' for anyone with dry skin--or excema--as

it penetrates very quickly--NOT leaving a greasy feeling, and has

wonderful moisturizing properties.

I doens't taste bad--kinda nutty--and I put it in my lip balms, too.

Places that carry it are: columbus foods--best price-per-pound, but

you must by 7 lbs of it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One good way to keep cats out of plants (I've got one that will potty
in one if she's going into heat--also chews on any in the window
sills)..is to lightly mist with water---then sprinkle ground ginger on
the soil, and the leaves. It burns the cat's mouth--only takes a time
or two before they decide to not do it anymore. It does need to be
repeated as necessary.
I thought this a much better alternative to a dead cat, from munching
on poisonous houseplants.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Dr's who have a 'superior' atitude--they know everything--we, nothing

kind of thing, drive me nuts. I much prefer finding ones who have an

open mind to 'alternative' paths. Fortunately, more and more are

beginning to embrase this concept.

My *real* peave is MD's who poo-poo chiropractors, etc... as 'quacks'.

If they'd have had what it takes to actually *finish* the medical

training--(instead of bailing at the first point where they can

'practice' and make money..)they'd learn about how the muscle/skeletal

structure out of balance contributes to our dis-ease, etc....and would

have DO (Dr of Osteopathy) attached to their name!

....ok--my rant is done!

Yup, I feel the same way :o) I have six compressed disks, and degenerative disk

disease, and when I started seeing a Chiropractor, man did I see a huge change!

I felt so much better. And having a doctor with an open mind like you said is

such a big difference. The more I think about the pediatricians that I have

been using for my kids, the more inclined I am to find a doctor who is more open

to alternative methods. There are so many different types of healing that

exist, and having a doctor that is knowledgeable about that is huge. A perfect

example is the weight loss doctor I went to last month. He's Vietnamese, but

he's studied all over the world. He has us on vitamin b-12 shots, and we have

both lost alot of weight and feel amazing. But he was talking to us about how

so many times, the US takes a little bit longer to catch on to European

medicine. My husband has had lots of problems with low testosterone since his

vasectomy, and no one would give him a testosterone shot

to fix it, they kept saying he needed to take fertility drugs, or take viagra,

which wasn't the problem. So my husband is telling this doctor about it, and the

doctor looks at him and said, " You had vesectomy, right? That's why you have

low testosterone. Every one in Asia know that once you have Vasectomy, you loose

testosterone. So we take shots to compensate for it. " He saw the blood results

we had had done on his testosterone, and he gave my husband a shot right there

in the office. Where as the Endoctrinologists, and the specialists, all gave us

the runaround. Now since I'm on the shots he's been giving us, Bri has lost 20

pounds, and I've lost around 14. Yay! :o) So yeah, I hear what you are saying

about doctors being more open. LOL
