Does anyone have any info on Pomegranate Seed Oil?

I just got a sample of it(about 2-3 oz worth)

and the only info that I could find was that it was " anti-viral,

anti-microbal, and had great moisturizing properties "

I could not find any info on if it could be used in a " baby butt balm " or

anything like that.

It's organic cold-pressed if that helps!

Thanks in Advance!

:o))

Michelle, sorry to take so long in replying.

The research I have been doing on pomagranates has turned up some

amazing things.

Pomagranate oil is very, very high in punicic acid which is a unique

fatty acid known to strengthen the epidermis. Its natural estrogenic

properties is what revitalizes skin.

Punicic acid, abundant in pomegranate seed oil, has been called

a " super CLA " , much more than even EVO.It also contains several other

rare phytochemicals including gamma-tocopherol, sterols and the

oestrogens and 17-alpha oestradiol. Of course, you want cold-

pressed! :o)

The pomagranate also is being used in cancer research, specifically

in the areas of skin, breast, and prostate cancers.
