Guest guest
Hi Vicki, >Xiaoming Wang, (303) 604-2096, 2294 Autumn Ridge Blvd, Lafayette, > CO 80026 > > http://www.oilganic.com/oil-herb-tea-coffee/Rockrich.htm > > This is what i found on them... not much info at all. Its enough for me .. if you click around their site you see a lot of references to Young Living. > Will email DH's father that lives in CO and see if he can find out > what their about ... I know what they're about now .. the feller wrote me back twice trying to justify his false advertising. He says the Bulgarian Rose Otto is not really from Bulgaria .. but its from Roses that were grown in China that are the Bulgarian variety .. i.e., Rosa damascena. I tried to tell him that Origin and growing conditions were important .. that the two finest Rose Damask growing areas in the world are the Isparta Valley of Turkey and the Kazanlik Valley of Bulgaria .. but it has fallen on deaf ears. He still says his claim is not false. ;-) Those of you who have been unfortunate enough to experience what is called Chinese Rosa damascena know that it will gag a maggot off a gut wagon. As I told this dude .. Turkish and Bulgarian are the top quality and if I could not get those two .. I'd go with Indian as as a last resort .. but there is no way I would go with Chinese or Russian. I also note that this site recommends another company that is into misinformation .. I say misinformation in order to be kind. To tell it like it really is .. I would need to say they are BSing the Troops .. or at least BSing the misinformed. That site claims to sell Cucumber Hydrosol .. among other nonexistent items. A well known expert challenged them on this .. because as we all know, hydrosols are a byproduct of distillation .. and plant life and such that has no essential oil is not distilled .. without distillation there is no hydrosol .. simple as that. Their reply to him was: > " The legal, global, trade, and universal definition of a " Hydrosol " is > defined as " A colloidal solution in which the particles are suspended > in water " . The word was first introduced into the English language in > 1864 with its etymology being hydro- + solution, and referring to any > aromatic properties suspended in a solution of water. > > Currently the international trade of Hydrosol is referred to " any > aromatic plant, floral or vegetable matter produced from steam > distillation and wholly suspended in water " . > > Whom ever said that only materials which yield an essential oil can > produce a hydrosol is misinformed completely. > > I hope this helps to explain the nature of Hydrosols, in particular to > the varieties offered by Mountain Rose Herbs and for any other > questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. They are not legally wrong in that there is no legal definition of Hydrosol in the USA .. but they are supplying misinformation for the purpose of marketing .. for the purpose of deceiving the buyer. Those who are informed buyers won't buy this crap .. but too many folks in this unregulated industry are not informed buyers. The site supports my points .. we gotta be careful. > Vicki P. Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com > Below is a reply I sent to a spam post received today .. no doubt > this person is sending the same post to many folks .. likely the > addresses were harvested from a news group. PS: The sender admitted that he had sent his SPAM to many folks .. but said it was not spam and I was the only one to question him. ;-)
