Guest guest
Yesterday morning my kids came upstairs and I hear " Little Wolf (our six month old kitten) has a mouse " ... Then a minute later my daughter says " It's a baby Chinchilla! " She's 12, what does she know? " Bring it HERE! " I yell. Kids troup in and lo and behold it's a baby Chinchilla! What the HECK?! We've all been sitting and trying to think how long we've had Chin-Chin (Our female Chinchilla, which we knew was female) but none of us can remember, but apparently she's been pregnant the whole time. And of course, we did everything wrong. We've been holding her, playing with her, she's been drop a couple of times (fortunately from low heights, kids hands (in sitting position) to the floor), never got her vitamins, nothing... and yet she hung on to that baby and gave birth in the night. We don't know HOW that baby made it out of the cage but we DO know how it made it up the stairs... The kids kept saying " Little Wolf was licking it and taking care of it " ... yeah Yeah! I've seen cat's with their " Lollipops " before, I know what comes after the discreet " tasting " . So now, instead of ONE Chinchilla, we have TWO. Mom is named " Chin-Chin " and the baby is named " Little Wolf's Lollipop " , " Lollipop " for short... After all, we thought that he should have SOME recognition for 'taking care of' his little rescue-ee. -- Cheers!
