Guest guest
Hey Evelyn, > Beware......If someone offers you diamond ring for a dime you'll > find it isn't worth ten cents. Something sounding too good to > be true, usually is ... You are perzackly right. That reminds me of a couple of the tales my Grandpa told me when I was a yonker .. and back then it didn't mean doodly to me but when I recall it now I realize that there was a lot of logic in it. He said .. when you go to a bar and the bartender gives you a drink without asking what you want .. you been going to the bar a little too often. ;-) But another tale he told is in line with your statement. Might be that Grandpa was embellishing a bit on this one .. but his point was well taken after a few years. He said that back in the 30s there was a summer where the Black Flies were taking over Tennessee. Said a company came out in the newspaper with a guaranteed method of killing them .. forget the cost but it wasn't much by today's standards .. probably was then though. Said it was guaranteed IF you followed the instructions exactly .. and they would double your money back if it didn't work. What they sent was two blocks of wood with instructions to place the Black Fly on one on the blocks and smash him with the other one. ;-) Grandpa said the authorities could do nothing in that they had not falsely advertised .. course, times have changed I reckon. Still .. his point got across. Many times I and others have written on this list that there are no Mother Theresa types in this business .. and there are fairly standard international prices for this and that Essential Oil .. there is no way that one is going to find a real bargain on a pure and quality EO. True it is that some companies will charge less than others but the delta should not be too great. A real high price is NOT an indication of purity or quality .. it could mean that the seller doesn't have a lot of sales and they need to make a large profit margin on each sale .. but a real low price is usually an indication of purity and quality .. it means (in most cases) that the product is NOT a quality product .. or it is not from the Origin claimed. In the case of the Rose Otto that kicked this thread off .. we now know that it was NOT Bulgarian Rose Otto .. it was Chinese Rose Otto .. and I'd not give $1,000 a kilo for that stuff. > Evelyn > www.alternasense.com > " If you don't talk to your cat about Catnip, Who will.
