What kind of diffuser to use?

Thanks for the warm welcome. Butch, I am touched that you remember me from

the idma list. I tend to be a bit quiet in these groups.

I've been starved for AT colleagues for quite a while, and have quite a few

questions I'd like to post to you all.

My first question: I am trying to equip someone with AT in several rooms of

her house. The problem is, I can't figure out what kind of diffusers to get

her. She definitely won't maintain a nebuliser properly (won't be bothered

to clean it out, and besides, most of the blends she chose have vetiver as a

base). Candle aromalamps are out. I love the old Ultrascent Quattro

(no-fuss) but they don't make them anymore. This is tough, because she would

like the therapeutic results, but doesn't want the nebuliser.

So -- any ideas as to what would make an aromatic impact in a decent sized

living room (don't know the square footage). I am assuming the fan or

electric coil types might not fill the room (?)

Any help at all (including product names and suppliers!) would be much

appreciated.

Warmly,

Stephanie

Hi Stephanie,

It sounds like this might be the perfect case for : The Aromastone (with

super hero echo added to the sound ;) Basically, it reminds me of a

coffee mug warmer. It gets warm enough to effectively diffuse your oils,

but not hot enough to burn you if you touched it. Also its a snap to

clean up, like wiping a plate ....

Carrie at Scentgarden (who also had to punk out of the Rockport festival

today with a tummy virus) carries them ..

Chris (taking advantage of the day I wasn't supposed to be here and am

doing odd herbal projects I want to do but normally don't get the chance

to - like make handmade herbal scented papers)

The aromastone is one thought... although it might depend on how large the

room is.

I'd look at the aromastone, or perhaps a Spa Center... one of the 'put

the eo on a pad, slide it into the drawer, and turn on the fan. I think it

might handle a larger room a bit better the aromastone.

There's also an " aromalamp " that uses a lightbulb, not a teacandle. (but

she'd still have to remember to put water in the bowl... I get the feeling

we want this to be a 'forgetproof " as possible?
