Hello!

I am currently searching for formulas to make all natural shampoos &

conditioners. I am familiar with natural soap making but would like to find

a formula that didn't take that much work - if possible. I currently make CP

soaps, but have customers wanting liquid products. Can anyone share a

formula or two that don't contain harsh chemicals? Is this possible to

achieve?

Of course I want to incorporate the healing powers of the Dead Sea minerals

into these formulas for aiding with psoriasis, eczema & dandruff issues.

This is the main reason I do not want chemicals present in the formulas.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

God Bless,

Tammy D.

Tammy,

It's very hard to make " natural " liquid soap with out harsh chemicals... Lye

(KOH) is one of the harshest chemicals around that we work with and you need

that in order to make Liquid soap.

Now if you want to use a surfactant to make a soap it's actually not a soap

I don't think... You can use poly decyl glucose,

I make Liquid soap and it's actually pretty nice.

So do you want to use KOH (potassium hydroxide) or not

Let me know.

Hi Jennifer!

I'm not adverse to using KOH - I have tried my hand at CP Cream Soap making

and have not been successful yet!

I do understand the saponification process in making soap, I just was

looking for an easier way - IF there was one! Liquid soap takes sooo much

longer to make! I've already been working with the poly decyl glucose just

can't seem to get it to a thick enough consistency for my liking. Maybe I

can add it to a liquid soap base (I have several pounds from a reputable

company right now) instead of thinning it with water? I'm working with a

salon owner and we're trying to create a product line that is rich, thick,

makes untold lather and is all natural. I guess I'm trying to " cheat " and

not spend the 3-6 months of formulating I actually need to do! Sometimes

asking can save you a lot of trial and error! :o) Looks like its back to the

" lab " for a while!

Email me off list about your liquid soap. MudQueen

Thanks for helping!

God Bless,

Tammy D.
