Guest guest
Hi all: Spring has sprung here in northeast Indiana, and I am happy to report that my NETTLES are coming up quickly! These are wonderful potherbs, and I understand that they're great for lots of things besides eating(which is my favorite use for them :-) If any of you are interested in plants and can tell me how to safely send them so's you get LIVE plants, I'll be glad to share! Let me know before they get too big - email me off list. Diana

I have had success shipping plants by hydrating some watering crystals (the ones people also use for neck coolers), packing them around the roots, wrapping the crystals and roots in newspaper or paper towels and wrapping the entire thing in a plastic bag. No need to tighty close the plastic bag , just fold over, as there is no runny liquid. The crystals will provide water for a day or so. I plant crystals and all in the soil. Oh--and ship on a Monday to keep the package from being held over the weekend. I like to use priority flat rate boxes. Hope this helps.
