easiest is to use a spreadsheet... that's how I do my math ;)

 

but you figure 16 ounces to a lb. and you calculate just the oils.

 

so...

 

let's say the recipe is

 

25% coconut 25% of 16 = 4 oz

40% olive .40 times 16 = 6.4

10% Shea 10% of 16 = 1.6

20% PKO .20 x 16 = 3.2

5% Castor .05 x 16 = .8

 

and those amounts add up to 16 ounces.
