Guest guest
Hi All, My name is Liz and I am new to this group. I have learned alot of useful information so far. I have heard a few of you mention that you had started your busineses out of your home before moving on to larger rented spaces. I wanted to open a home based business a few years back and was told by the state of Maryland you cannot order in essential oils wholesale and resell the products (mainly perfumes) out of your home. Would selling them over the internet be the same? Also what is a approved kitchen? Would this apply to making perfumes? Thanks, Liz
Guest guest
I don't know about Maryland, can you ask them to specify, because it may be that you cannot have a " business run out of your home " meaning you can't have your home be your store front. I run a business out of my home, (although I'm in Texas) and I sell all sorts of stuff, but I don't have the " store front " in my house. I've got a website, and I do shows occasionally where I set my stuff up... Have you tried doing home parties? Going to someone else's house and doing shows... That way you're not actually selling anything out of your house, you're just storing the stuff there, and making it there, and sending it out to be sold... And an approved Kitchen would be one that's FDA approved (I'm guessing) if that's not it then It would have to be one that fits the FDA standards for manufacturing things.... Some people are afraid to do anything with out the Liability taken out of it... due to " lawsuit abuse " . *here comes a rant* if it says do not use internally don't drink it and you won't get sick you Idiots. (that was not meant for anyone on this list I'm just really sick of people doing stupid stuff like that and then causing a repercussion for businesses... ) (off my soap box Now) On Behalf Of bluefleuri Friday, April 21, 2006 9:00 PM home-based business Hi All, My name is Liz and I am new to this group.
