so you are using

33.3% lavender

33.3% tea tree

33.3% Vit. E.

did anyone familiar with dermatological safety tell you those are safe

%ages to use?

especially on broken skin.

You are setting yourself and the people you use it on up for sensitization.

I have a ? I see Vit E for sale, then I also see the Tocopheryl's, are you

saying it's better to use the Tocopheryl's in products. The only difference is

one is man made the other is natural? Is that right?

For information, yes. This formula is simmilar to a formula of Derma E Natural

Bodycare (www.dermae.net)

They have severa Tea Tree and E Products/ One is:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tea Tree and E Oil (Product# 9100 or 9150)
Tea Tree Oil: 75%
Vitamin E Oil: 25%
Directions for use:
Abrasions, Itches, Insect Bites, Rashes: Apply directly.
Funguses, Nail, Athletes Foot, Ringworm: Apply twice a day to clean, dry skin or
nails.
Face Cleanser: Add several drops to water, splash face.
Pimples/Blemishes: Apply sveral times a day, also use as a face cleanser.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Their Tea Tree and E with Lavender Oil (Product #9155) has the same directions

for use.

Tea Tree Oil: 37.5%

Lavender Oil: 37%

Vitamin E Oil: 25%

The formula for this is not exact, but I was told it is close. My formula is

less Tea Tree, less Lavender, but more Vitamin E.

Hope this helps. I am aware of sensitization issues, and would not post a

formula that I thought might harm someone. I've used this formula for years on

myself and my family and friends, and no one has ever had sensitazation issues

form it. I always check to be sure new users don't have sensitization to these

ingredients before I apply it or have them apply it.

Be well,

I don't know what the chemical differences are, but the reason many companies

use Tocopheryl Acetate is because natural Vitamin E is unstable in strength from

batch to batch. Since Vitamin E is used as a moisturizer and an antioxidant,

using natural Vitamin E will cause large variances in effectiveness and potency.

The synthetic version, Tophoceryl Acetate is a standard potency, and thus a set

level of " effectiveness " can be derived with relative accuracy from batch to

batch.
