Guest guest
<<He has now been instructed to get futrher CT scans today and tomorrow to see if the air is being expelled and carried out by other body systems otherwise there is need for a surgical procedure to physically expel the air trapped. What the???? Any ideas please or similar experiences? I'm not sure what I can do on my end here. Love Linda Australia>> Hi Linda, I had this condition, induced by a doctor who wandered too far from my neck during a " prolotherapy " treatment. He stuck his long needle into my upper back and pierced the lung. The lung deflated and I struggled with one lung for about 4 weeks, but finally got him to understand this is not normal! I had the surgical procedure which took about 3 days to get fixed back up. I can describe it off list if you are still interested. The procedure wasn't the greatest, but I got through it, even without anesthetic. The little incision left a scar that has since disappeared. I think what you can do is listen to what the doctors think about the body getting rid of the trapped air by itself and if not, go for the little proceedure. Baby him a little. Talk abut future dives and ways to prevent a reocurence. Good luck and good health. Laurel
