And if you really have torn a tendon.. It takes a tendon longer to heal

than a bone...

Help for Tendon?

A week ago I severly twisted a finger. The chiropractor thinks I may have

torn a tendon. Been keeping it on ice as much as possible and taking Arnica

internally and in a gel topically. Swelling has gone done a little. What

else can I use to help heal it? If I can't do it, may have to have surgery.

HELP!

There are also studies suggesting that Nsaids..(Ibuprofen, Naproxen Sodium)

cause longer healing time... Don't know if they're true or not, but if you

need something for pain you can use your MSM cream.

I understand that Lemongrass is good. I've used it diluted with a

carrier oil on a sore shoulder and on tendinitis in an elbow. I also

like Basil (be sure to dilute; it is strong).

Dear Anita,

Have you treid DMSO (dimethylsuilfoxide)?.You can usually get it at a feed

store or on line. I tis not supposed to be used for humans as the aspirin

peope and various other companies know that it will replace their creams,

but it is still legal to use it for animals and they DO sell roll ons at

feed stores (presumably for the horses...he hee).........it is EXCELLENT for

tendon, muscle, cartilage and bone repair..............herbally yours Penny

The lemongrass that is an effective pain reliever is high in Myrcene.

Most GC's I've seen have less than 1%... you need 12 to 15% myrcene.

trust me, it's hard to find. Some of our nurses wanted it, and it took me

about three years to source it.

You'd not believe how much I was promised had the myrcene level I

needed. And upon testing... nada.

frustrating experience.

Thanks for that info as well. Haven't even thought about taking an over the

counter pain killer, as the arnica is doing that pretty well, and it really

doesn't hurt...that is until the chiropractor(sp?) started fiddling with

it..but that pain went away rather quickly. The swelilng has gone down too

except right at the knuckle. I do put the MSM cream on at night though.
